Documentación Documents	Para cada estancia se debe: Antes del comienzo de la estancia: solicitar y obtener autorización con la suficiente antelación, a través de THESIS, aportando los datos solicitados por la plataforma, la carta de aceptación del supervisor de la estancia y una breve memoria del plan de trabajo a realizar. Una vez el doctorando vuelve de la estancia: subir a THESIS el certificado acreditativo de la estancia, firmado por el supervisor de la misma, que incluya los datos fundamentales de la estancia, así como un resumen de las actividades de investigación realizadas por el doctorando. La estancia así acreditada deberá incluirse en el documento de actividades del doctorando.	For each stay, you must: Before the stay begins: request and obtain authorization enough time in advance through THESIS, providing the information required by the platfom, the acceptance letter from the stay supervisor, and a brief report of the planned work. Once the PhD student returns from the stay: upload the accrediting certificate to THESIS, signed by the supervisor of the stay, which has to include the key details of the stay, as well as a summary of the research activities carried out by the PhD student. The accredited stay has to be included in the PhD student's Activities Document.
Información Information	La legislación relativa a la mención de doctorado internacional establece la necesidad de realizar una o varias estancias durante, al menos, tres meses de duración fuera de España en una o varias instituciones de enseñanza superior o centros de investigación de prestigio. En caso de realizar varias estancias, al menos una de ellas tendrá una duración mínima de un mes. Para cada estancia que se desee hacer constar de cara a la solicitud de la mención se deben completar correctamente los trámites descritos en esta tabla. Ver la sección "Menciones" para más información sobre la mención de Doctor Internacional.	Information The legislation regarding the International Doctorate mention requires completing one or more stays of at least three months outside of Spain at one or more prestigious higher education institutions or research centers. If multiple stays are completed, at least one of them must last a minimum of one month. For each stay that the student wishes to be taken into account when applying for the mention, the procedures described in this table must be properly completed. See section "Special mentions" to know more about the International Doctor mention.

Información Information	Tanto el estudiante como su director o directores de tesis deben aceptar el cambio de título en la plataforma THESIS para que éste sea efectivo.	Both the student and his/her PhD thesis supervisor(s) have to accept the proposed title in THESIS for it to be effective.

Premio extraordinario de tesis doctoral
Extraordinary PhD. thesis prize

Plazo Due date	Al final de cada curso académico, la Escuela Internacional de Doctorado convoca estos premios para los doctores que defendieron su tesis el curso académico anterior. El plazo máximo para concurrir se comunica a los egresados que reúnen las condiciones para hacerlo.	At the end of each academic year, a call for this prize is launched by the University's PhD. International School, for the students who finished their studies during the preceding academic year. The due date to participate in this call is communicated to the doctors who are eligible for the prize.
Documentación Documents	Según se establezca en la convocatoria corresondiente.	As specified in the corresponding call.
Información Information	La regulación relativa a estos premios se encuentra en el artículo 34 del Reglamento de elaboración y evaluación de la tesis doctoral de la UPM. Únicamente los doctores que obtuviesen la calificación de sobresaliente cum laude durante el curso académico en cuestión pueden optar al premio.	These prizes are regulated in Article 34 of the UPM's PhD. thesis procedure and assessment regulation. Only those doctors who obtained the Cum Laude honorific mention in the corresponding academic course can opt to this prize.

Documentación Documents	Carta de solicitud dirigida al Presidente de la CAPD exponiendo la justificación de la solicitud. Copia de la documentación que sustenta la justificación.	Letter addressed to the President of the PhD. program's Academic Committee, stating the reasons for the request. Copy of any documents that prove the existence of the reasons included in the letter.
Información Information	Por defecto, la admisión de un estudiante se realizará a tiempo completo. Hay un número limitado de plazas a tiempo parcial por cada curso, por lo que la solicitud de matriculación en este régimen de dedicación debe estar bien documentada.	The admission is full time by default. Only a limited subset of part-time seats are available each year, thus the request has to be backed by accompanying documentation.
